Franklin's Troop 1 held an overnight camp out at a privatly owned observitory in Franklin recently. Francis Todd, pictured on right) hosted the camp out and the scouts worked on requirements for the Astronomy Merit Badge.

Lots of attention was shared in the early days of our "flooding." It seems lots of people were out and about assisting with finding sand, filling bags, moving furniture and building levies. Pictured Sam Autrey, Chitimacha District Vice Chair, with a few of the many St. Mary Boy Scouts who continue to volunteer their time post-flood stage. The Boys are busy helping residence in lower lying areas removed sand bag walls from properties now that the threat of high water has diminished. Sign your Boys up today.
