Message from the Executive

It has been my pleasure as well as a privilege to have worked with you all in 2007. As a District, we were ahead of 2006 in Membership and Popcorn Sales. My hat goes off to the leaders, for without the dedication, perseverance, and the belief that you put in this program; scouting would not be a success. Guys, unfortunately the job is not over. We still have to go out in our communities boldly saying and believing that we will not let the negative vices in our communities take our young men. In times that we live in, ethical and moral values have been tossed out the window. This is why the movement of scouting is so imperative. As Leaders, we must walk boldly even if that means that sometimes we are alone. I am with you. I am not going anywhere. We are all in this together. And like a wise person once said in scouting, it is not about us, it is about the scout. I want to leave you with something Sir Robert Baden Powell once said “We never fail when we try to do our duty, we always fail when we neglect to do it.”

Congrats to Pack 18 for their campaign for Food for Family

Cub Scout Pack 18 of St John Berchmans School participated in the "Good Turn for America" Scouting for Food Campaigne recently. Boys from the pack filled an SUV with non-parishable goods such as canned foods, rice, beans, pastas and cerials and delivered them to the Thensted Center in Grand Coteau. The boys learned a valuable leason about helping the less fortunate as they particpated in the drive.
