CAMP LAWSON-CHAPPUISLocated north of Crowley off of Highway 13, it consists of 40 acres of wooded bottom land with many palmetto plants. This property lends itself to primitive camping as the only structure on the property is a covered pavilion. There is no water, electricity or restroom facilities. Though very primitive, it is a short drive into Crowley for any forgotten supplies. Fishing is available in a man-made pond, on the south end of the property. Currently, the Acadia District volunteers are maintaining the camp. In the event you would like to help them out, please contact the Council Ranger, Bobby Guilbeau for a work list. Back top Camping |
