Camp C.O.O.L. is a new program developed by the Evangeline Area Council in conjunction with the council’s District Attorney’s offices to provide a camping activity for at-risk-youth.

Camp C.O.O.L. will provide a Fun & Challenging environment for youth that might not have an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and positive reinforcement of character and values.

We are offering three sessions of Camp C.O.O.L. this year:

Session 1 - June 21^st through June 24^th, Check in at 2:00 PM, Checkout at 11:00 am

16^th Judicial District - Phil Haney, DA / Zack Mitchel, Youth Director

Iberia Parish, St. Martin Parish, St. Mary Parish

Session 2 - June 24^th though June 27^th, Check in at 2:00 PM, Checkout at 11:00 am

15^th Judicial District - Mike Harson, DA / Kennith Boudreaux, Youth Director

Lafayette Parish, Acadia Parish, Vermilion Parish

Session 3 - June 27^th though June 30^th, Check in at 2:00 PM, Checkout at 11:00 am

27^th Judicial District - Earl Taylor, DA

St. Landry Parish

13^th Judicial District - Trent Brignac, DA

Swimming Pool, Can’t swim? We can teach you!

B.M.X. Bicycle Track

Canoeing out on the Lake / Swamp Tour

Rifle Shooting with our certified Range Officer

Climbing Tower / Bouldering Wall

Obstacle course

Team Building/Cooperative Games

Zip Line

Outdoor Skills Demonstrations

First Aid & CPR with American Red Cross instructor

Movie Night

Camp Fire Program

Camp C.O.O.L. is held at Mt. Bayou Lake Scout Camp ( google map ) Located in St. Landry, LA. With 640 Acres of property, there is a lot to offer.
