Growing up has never been easy. Each generation faces its own concerns and pressures. For the past 100 years, the Boy Scouts of America has provided young people with experiences that prepare them to meet challenges and conquer them. Read more here ... Exciting Council Events • February 1, 2010 Camp Card Sale Click here for more info on Camp Cards | Click here to register to sell Camp Cards  • February 8, Unit Finance Seminar Knight Scout Center, Registration is Free. This learning experience is open to all registered unit leaders (Cubmasters, Scoutmasters, Crew Advisors, assistants, Committee Chairmen, and committee members), especially those with direct responsibilities for unit finance. Topics covered will include unit money-earning projects and applications, successful popcorn and camp card campaigns, BSA finance essentials, and a Q&A. Course materials will be provided, but please bring pen and paper for note taking. For more info contact Scott Morgan Click here to submit your registration online • February 13-14, 2010 Adventure Base 100 the Exhibit will set up on the green space in front of the Audubon Zoo. Admission is Free. All who tour the exhibit will recieve a coupon for admission to the zoo for a discounted rate of $4.25 per person. The 18-wheeler that carries the exhibit will be leading the Hermes parade on the Uptown route on Friday, Feb. 12th. Bayou Lake Scout Camp, more info and registration coming soon. • April 10, 2010 Council Pinewood Derby Get those cars Tuned up and read for your district race, the 1st-3rd place winners of each age group will go on to race at the council level, more info and registration coming soon. All entries must adhear to the Official rules (copy coming soon). • April 16-18, 2010 Cubscout Resident Camp Come out and enjoy a weekend filled with themed fun at Mt. Bayou Lake, more info and registration coming soon. • April 30-May 2, 2010 Scoutmaster Outdoor Training The Second half of the Scoutmaster's Training, focusing on the Outdoor Fundamentals at Mt. Bayou Lake Scout Camp, more info and registration coming soon. • May 10-15, 2010 Scouting for Books Campaign Scouting for Books - collection of school age appropriate book, more info and registration coming soon. • June 6-12/13-19, 2010 Boy scout Summer Camp Come out to Mt. Bayou Lake Scout Camp to enjoy the Summer Camp Program!
